The Learjet 55C, also known as the Bombardier Learjet 55C, is a medium sized twin-engine executive jet aircraft, developed by Gates Learjet Corporation, today Bombardier Aerospace of Canada. The Learjet 55C is one of the largest members of the Learjet family, known for its reliability, safety, and outstanding performance. Introduced in 1987, the Learjet 55C is an improved development of the Learjet 55, with low/straight wing with tapered leading edge and winglets, plus new rear underfuselage design, delta fins, which gave a number of performance and handling advantages. The Learjet 55B features a stand-up cabin with a fully-enclosed aft laboratory and external and internal baggage compartments. The Learjet 55B is capable of carrying up to 8 passengers in a four-place club seating arrangement with a side-facing bench and an additional individual seat.
